THE KEFALOMANDOUKO REGION
Kefalomandouko is on a green hill rising above the historical district of Mandouki, on the outskirts of Corfu Town. It lies a stone’s throw from the port, very close to the airport and the Old Town of Corfu and is an ideal spot to set off from for excursions to the beaches and the countryside.
The view from Kefalomandouko is special, a picture frame encompassing a varied view: the beauty of the natural landscape in all its manifestations. Between the untamed green of Corfu, the sea and the curved coastline, the mountains rise opposite. Ships and yachts come and go from the port and private marinas, while the seafront highway is bustling with traffic and life.
Kefalomandouko was built much later than the modern town of Corfu with elegant houses, villas and complexes. It remains a green hill full of trees and lush vegetation with beautiful, well-tended gardens. A characteristic of living in this area is the privacy provided by the layout of the hill.
The access to Corfu town center is easy by car, motorbike, bicycle and even on foot for the active. Public transport has regular services and taxis can be quickly obtained.
